Hi! I’m Mislav Jurić, a machine learning engineer and consultant based in Croatia.
I help companies figure out whether AI actually makes sense for their business problems – before they invest heavily in development. When AI is the right fit, I take projects from feasibility assessment through working prototypes and production-ready models.
Beyond consulting, I also work on ML engineering projects where I develop and implement solutions across NLP, computer vision, and traditional ML domains.
My background
My interest in technology started at 14 when I began building websites. That curiosity evolved into a focus on machine learning, where I’ve spent 5+ years working across NLP, computer vision, and traditional ML.
I’ve worked on projects ranging from LLM-powered games to healthcare diagnostics to agricultural computer vision systems. What I’ve learned: the most important question isn’t “what’s the latest AI technique?” but “does AI solve this specific problem better than alternatives?”
How I work
I’m remote-first and problem-first. I focus on what actually works rather than what’s trendy. Sometimes that means classical ML instead of deep learning. Sometimes it means recommending against AI entirely.
I work directly with CEOs and technical leaders to assess feasibility, define realistic roadmaps, and build working systems. I prefer honest conversations about constraints over optimistic promises.
Beyond work
When I’m not working on ML projects, I spend time with family and friends, go to the gym, and occasionally sing karaoke.
