We talked about filesystems in a previous article. We said that, approximately, they are comprised of a database which keeps track of files and of data pool, where files are kept.

- ext4 (fourth extended filesystem), used in Linux
- FAT (File Allocation Table), used for USBs
- NTFS (New Technology File System), used in Windows
